Our journey of rebuilding communities and strengthening resilience of conflicted-affected and climate change impacted communities has been quite impactful and exciting. We have successfully initiated, developed and implemented programs that are contributing to transforming systems and individuals. From the establishment of a one-stop functional Centre for Gender Safety and Security (CGSS) in Maiduguri, Borno State, to operationalizing of rice farm, climate smart vegetable gardens in Adamawa state, and rice milling center in Yusufari Local Government Area (LGA) in Yobe State, our organization is contributing to building resilience of forcibly displaced persons, returning migrants, preventing and responding to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), setting in motion Youth for Peace (Y4P) Advisory platforms, supporting Garden Farming Action Groups (GFAG), and community mobilizing for actions that are contributing to the climate change reversal process.

Our work has improved socio economic outlook of communities as well as the physical and psychological wellbeing of persons. Despite these interventions, majority of the conflict-affected and climate-change impacted communities are yet to be reached and are still in dire need of urgent humanitarian assistance. I believe that with increased funding to support the design and implementation of quality programs, more access to opportunities will be created and sustained.
